At the beginning of my career I was working in extremely toxic medspa environments. I was bullied by a past employer constantly. They would say things such as 'you cannot be an aesthetician and have acne" These statements were coming from a medical professional, so what were my clients thinking...? Little did they know I was in the hardest chapter of my life battling severe grief, toxic relationships, mental abuse, various health issues and numerous mental health struggles. All of these factors weigh heavily in the presence of acne. Finally, I had had enough. I pursued further education to educate myself on acne- I never wanted anyone to feel like I felt.
